Hello, Yeah the oil needs to be hot and most of the flour will wash off but enough should stay on to form a light crust!
    THanks,
    Dave

Hey Dave, we dont’t make fried chicken much. I’ve been encountering a problem. Whenever i put the flour covered chicken into the oil, the flour comes off leaving the chicken unbreaded. How do i fix this? ( i let the oil stop crackling before i put the chicekn in)

Chicken breader? Chicken batter is what makes fried chicken bad for you. It soaks up the oil and then you are eating more oil. A little oil is OK but a lot of oil is bad. I like chicken flavored with my spices. Most of the flour washes off in the oil. Flour is also bad for you. Breaded chicken is bad for you. My chloresterol is 199! I weigh 270 lbs. Beat that? Because I do not eat a lot of oil and flour.
    THanks,
    Dave

BVery cool. Dont forget to reduce your heat to medium to medium high after you start frying. Remember deep frying is easier.
    Thanks,
    Dave

I just wash the chicken with cold water and then season and flour it. Your chicken should be room temp so it will fry evenly. It is easier to deep fry it, if you prefer?
    THanks,
    Dave
